A friend of mine after 12 years and 3 children has left an emotionaly abusive and controling marriage. She moved 3 hours away and he still comes around contantly stating its to see the children yet shows up unexpectedly even when kids are not around over powers her takes and checks her phone goes through her things. She is afraid of him thus doesn't holler or fight back. she says he's not physically violent but has the potential to be. I suggested a restraining order but she says she's afraid to make him mad. I even suggested she demand that he visit his children at her parents. Again she states that she's afraid he'll get mad. She doesn't want to make him mad becuase she doesn't know what he'll do.
